Roma attacker Eldor Shomurodov helped lead Uzbekistan to a historical qualification to the next World Cup.

The ex-Genoa striker was at the center of this feat and did not shy away from discussing the positive impact of Claudio Ranieri on his individual season as well as his plans for the future with the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini.

“I feel like a different player,” Shomurodov told the media, according to Corriere dello Sport. “I feel reborn thanks to Mister Ranieri who gave me so much confidence.”

“Gasperini? Everyone knows that he took Atalanta from scratch and brought them to the Champions League. I am convinced that he will also get good results at Roma.”

He added, “I am ready, I believe that my style of play satisfies the requirements of the new coach.”
