Claudio Ranieri could opt for a line-up involving two strikers to make up for Paulo Dybala’s absence in the final stretch of the season.

Following the Argentine’s season-ending injury, the veteran technician will have to come up with an alternative gameplan.

According to La Repubblica, Ranieri is seriously considering fielding a ‘heavy’ attack made up of Eldor Shomurodov and Artem Dovbyk.

The Ukrainian has a total score of 15 goals (and 4 assists) between the league and cups in 38 appearances, for an average of one goal every 178 minutes.

The Uzbek, on the other hand, has scored 5 goals (and 3 assists) in 28 appearances, for an average of one goal every 185 minutes.

There is no shortage of alternatives to Ranieri, especially with Soulé, Baldanzi and Pellegrini. But the idea of an attacking tandem, with a three-man midfield and Angelino and Saelemekers as offensive engines, seems to appeal to the Giallorossi coach.
