Alexander Sorloth is still being linked with a possible move to Roma.

The Norwegian attacker is said to have already agreed to terms with the Giallorossi after coming off an impressive season with Villareal.

Having scored 26 goals and 6 assists this past season, Sorloth is now ready to make his leap to Serie A.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sørloth is in fact Daniele De Rossi’s favorite centre-forward, the man on whom the coach and the club have mutually decided to concentrate their efforts to bring a new striker to Rome.

Daniele De Rossi wants the Norwegian striker essentially for three reasons: 1) because he is someone who fills the penalty area well and with him you can also make the most of set pieces; 2) because with his movements he knows how to “take away” more than one defender, freeing up plenty of space for insertions from behind; 3) because Sørloth is currently at the height of his footballing maturity and De Rossi feels he can get the best out of him.
