Leonardo Spinazzola remains doubtful ahead of Roma’s upcoming Serie A fixture.
After suffering from muscle soreness in the warm-up leading up to Roma-Fiorentina, the Italian fullback is set to miss the Giallorossi’s last Europa League group-stage match with Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma and Spinazzola are hoping for him to recover for the away game to Bologna on Sunday.
Roma will be without Nicola Zalewski – out due to suspension – and Stephan El Shaarawy – the only other alternative to Spinazzola – will most likely play as a striker alongside Andrea Belotti.
Thus, Mourinho is hoping Spinazzola can recover as soon as possible – there is very little margin for error for Roma these days.
