Leonardo Spinazzola is still holding out hope he’ll return to Roma.

The Italian fullback will soon be out of a contract on June 30th after the Giallorossi opted against renewing his deal. However, Spinazzola hasn’t received any concrete proposal from any other interested clubs. In recent days there had been talk of the interest of Napoli and Juventus, but at the moment there is nothing.

According to Il Tempo, the player’s agent was at Trigoria on Thursday to meet with manager Daniele De Rossi. The two discussed the possibility of extending Spinazzola’s stay—should the fullback agree to drastically reduce his salary, it is not impossible to envision him returning.

Roma has several priorities to resolve on the transfer market, and at the moment there is only Angelino in the squad as left back. Spinazzola staying could be seen as a convenient solution.
