Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke on the eve of the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal with Roma.

The Italian technician addressed the media in today’s press conference from Milanello training center.

“We know how difficult it will be to face an opponent who is doing very well right now,” said Pioli. “They have lots of quality and play great football.”

“But we’re also in a positive moment. The performances are proof we’re doing well, the team is physically well, we face this decisive moment in the right conditions.”

“We are ready to put in a lot of work, a lot of quality, compactness and attention. It’s a 180 minute challenge but we want to try already tomorrow to bring home something positive.”

“We have been focusing on what De Rossi has tried to teach his team. We are confident we know our opponent quite well,” he added. “De Rossi is doing an excellent job and I’m sure he will try to rid us of our attacking options.”
