Stephan El Shaarawy will make his second consecutive start in Daniele De Rossi’s line-up tonight.
The Italian attacker will help lead Roma in a must-win showdown with Salernitana.
In his pre-match interview with DAZN, El Shaarawy remarked, “Continuity is important, this is my favorite role, but I also play other roles if necessary,” alluding to tonight’s attacking positioning on the wing.
“But by being closer to the opponent’s goal I have more opportunities. Today, however, regardless of the role, what matters is getting the three points.”
“De Rossi? I have always admired him, even as a teammate. I have always had great respect for him and I still have it now that he is in another role. He maintained the same big brother attitude. It is an honor to work with him. We hope to do well for ourselves but also for him.”
On the newest signing by Roma, Angelino, El Shaarawy added, “He’s a quality player, with great technique and I hope he can help us.”
