Roma are once again considering Crysencio Summerville.
The Dutch winger played a key role in the World Cup for the Netherlands: two goals and two assists in four matches. He was only involved in a goal against Tunisia.
The collapse of negotiations with several English clubs, including Manchester United, for the West Ham left winger has brought the Giallorossi back into the spotlight.
Yesterday, a positive meeting took place between Italian intermediaries and Roma management, where the club’s interest was reaffirmed.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, Roma has set its terms: a sustainable contract, no more than €40 million, and a salary of €4-€4.5 million per season. There’s competition, so great caution is needed.
As Fabrizio Romano reports, the Dutch winger is open to joining Roma. The 2001-born player has always had a passion for playing for a top Premier League club.
He’s received calls from Saudi Arabia, but the Roman club was convinced to present the project to him.
Now, agreements need to be reached, and it won’t be easy. West Ham are aiming high (over €50 million), so the costs remain prohibitive. Updates are awaited; Roma have returned to the hunt for Crysencio Summerville.
