Aurelien Tchouameni spoke at a press conference on the eve of Roma-Real Madrid before José Mourinho.

“It’s an important match, we want to win this game against Roma and continue our journey in the Champions League,” the Frenchman began with these statements.

The midfielder then wanted to avoid controversy related to the last round of the league season: “I don’t want to talk about the referees; we’re very frustrated by the decisions. But it was important to win against Villarreal; we want to move forward.”

Regarding the dressing room, the Frenchman said: “Every player tries to help the team as much as they can; we’ll all give everything to win titles this year.”

He then avoided questions about the transfer market: “I can’t talk about that; the most important thing is to talk about tomorrow’s match. Ask the coach or the president these questions. I have my opinion, but I’m not the one who should be talking about it.”

Tchouameni praised Roma: “We know we’ll be playing against a great team. I watch Roma games a lot, we know it will be tough, especially away from home, but we have the quality to win.”

He also commented on the criticism leveled at his Real Madrid side: “We know there’s criticism when you play for Real. The important thing is to keep your nerve and stay calm. We work every day to improve; we know we can do better. But the most important thing, we know, is what we’ll win at the end of the season, and we’ll fight for that.”
