Ex-Roma defender Toni Rudiger – who currently plays for Real Madrid – recalled sharing the locker room with Francesco Totti.
In a recent interview with Marca, the German international explained how emotional it was for him, as a younger player, to come into contact with Giallorossi legend Francesco Totti and spend two years playing alongside of him between 2015 and 2017.
“What can I tell you about Francesco Totti? A Roma legend and in my opinion the best Italian player of all time. I think he is the most loyal person in football.”
“I remember the first day I met him: I got goosebumps because I was from another generation. I was in awe of him. I never imagined sharing a locker room with him: I did it for two years, he’s always been wonderful to me.”
“I will always be grateful to him and Roma for the opportunity they gave me,” Rudiger concluded.
