While Trigoria awaits Giacomo Raspadori’s response, Roma’s transfer market is focused on finding a central defender.

The primary target is Radu Dragusin, but negotiations with Tottenham are encountering significant obstacles related to the transfer formula.

Signs of a possible departure for the former Genoa player intensified yesterday, when the defender sat on the bench for the full 90 minutes of the FA Cup match against Aston Villa.

Although the player’s entourage confirms their openness to the Giallorossi, the English club has taken a firm stance.

As reported by Sky Sports and the Daily Mail, Spurs rejected Frederic Massara’s initial offer, which was aimed at a loan with an option to buy.

The London club has no intention of letting go of the 2002-born player without the certainty of immediate or future payment.

Manager Thomas Frank, despite currently sitting fourteenth in the league table, hasn’t ruled out reintroducing Dragusin into the rotation to cope with the busy English schedule.

To break the deadlock, Roma will need to modify their offer, either by including a mandatory buyout or by making a permanent purchase.
