Roma will be able to count on an extra year to settle their accounts, thanks to their good performance in recent seasons.

This is the so-called “bonus year,” a clause included in the settlement agreement with UEFA that the Giallorossi club can leverage to spread their repayments over two financial years.

As reported by La Repubblica and Il Tempo, Trigoria is seeking to finalize the settlement agreement as early as next summer; however, if this isn’t feasible, there’s the option of activating the clause and postponing the final repayment until June 2027.

From a management perspective, this option allows for more relaxed planning.

The season’s performance will be crucial: increased matchday revenue (Europa League) and the search for new sponsors will play a key role—the main shirt sponsor is still missing, for which the Friedkins are asking €20-25 million.
