Legendary Roma defender Vincent Candela weighed in on Gian Piero Gasperini’s appointment in the Italian capital.
While speaking to Sky Sport, the Frenchman lauded Roma’s decision to select the Atalanta manager as their new head coach.
“He will focus on the pitch and on hard work, as he’s always done,” said Candela when asked about Gasperini. “He’s a guarantee.”
“Along with Ranieri, some players will change,” he added, “and yes, we will need to start again but the team has a strong base and with Gasperini it will have to aim even higher.”
