Wesley is running, convincing, and attracting attention in the Premier League.

The Brazilian winger is carving out an increasingly important role for himself at Roma, as confirmed by his excellent performance against Slovan Bratislava.

His performances are not going unnoticed in England, where Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs interested in the player.

In recent weeks, Newcastle had also been linked with the Giallorossi full-back. However, that prospect appears to have cooled.

According to Football Insider, the Magpies have no intention of submitting an offer for the Brazilian, held back by two financial obstacles.

The first concerns the investments already made by the English club, which spent £29.5 million this summer to acquire a right-back. The second is linked to Roma’s valuation, which is reportedly asking for between €50 and €60 million to let Wesley leave. Newcastle currently appears incapable of investing this sum.

Then there’s the position of the Giallorossi, which has no intention of parting ways with the Brazilian in the January transfer window. This desire further complicates the plans of the English contenders and postpones any potential negotiations, at least for now.
