Wesley gave an interview to Il Messaggero where he discussed his first impressions from playing under Gian Piero Gasperini.
“I already spoke with him last year when I was close to joining Atalanta, but God has a script, and evidently it had to go this way.”
“With Gasperini, I can grow; being here is a great motivation and a source of pride,” said the 2003-born player.
He also spoke about Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil, and his seasonal goals. “I want to do well with Roma and go to the World Cup.”
“Ancelotti? Everyone knows him; he’s a great coach. I haven’t made my debut with him yet, but I’ve trained several times. I’ll do everything I can to get called up, but my focus is on my experience with the Giallorossi.”
