Roma are accelerating their pursuit of Wesley, identified as one of the priority reinforcements for the new season.

After securing a yes from the player, who rejected a higher offer from Zenit in order to join the capital, the Giallorossi are now working to reach a final agreement with Flamengo.

Frederic Massara has initiated direct contact with José Boto, sporting director of the Rio de Janeiro club, to try to bridge the gap between supply and demand.

As reported by La Repubblica, Roma has put €20 million on the table, but Flamengo continues to demand €25 million.

Manchester City remains on the lookout, ready to step in if negotiations slow down.

For this reason, Roma’s goal is to close the deal quickly, avoiding auctions and pressure from clubs with greater financial resources.
