Zeki Celik could leave Roma on permanent deal

Andy Mattioli

Turkish defender Zeki Celik is one of the main names to be linked with a late exit from Roma before the January transfer deadline.

The ex-Lille fullback has been faced with increasingly limited playing time and things are not bound to change with Daniele De Rossi in charge.

As a result, Roma are hoping to secure an outgoing transfer for Celik in the coming hours which would in turn enable them to seek one additional signing after securing Angelino from Leipzig.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Galatasaray have shown interest in Celik but the player does not seem keen on the idea of returning to Turkey.

The Turkish giants are said to be ready to sign him on a permanent deal from Roma but the decision is entirely up to the player who has asked for more time to reflect on his own future.
