Il Tempo: Roma want to close for Bruno Peres soon

Il Tempo journalist Alessandro Austini has released an update over Roma’s pursuit of Bruno Peres.

Reportedly, the “front” of Bruno Peres re-opened on Friday after a phone call between Walter Sabatini and Torino president Urbano Cairo. Sabatini has set aside all over objectives and targets such as Manquillo, Pavard, and Janmaat and has focused solely on Bruno Peres, a player he has tracked since 2012 and nearly brought to Roma before the deal collapsed over small, trivial matters.

Sabatini has already submitted a written proposal of €15 million for Peres: €3 million being paid immediately for the loan, €9 million for the buying obligation, and a few million in bonuses.

Cairo continues to ask for roughly €18 million, the gap is not wide between the parties. Sabatini will not get himself involved into a bidding war for the Brazilian and is hoping to get a deal done soon, perhaps even by Tuesday, however, should the deal drag on it’s possible that Roma walk away from the deal. Peres’ agent has already been informed of talks between the two clubs and is waiting for the final agreement. The sides agreed to a contract already last season for five years worth €1.3 million (net) per season: a few touch-ups to the contract should be all that is needed.

Sabatini has made it clear: Bruno Peres is the objective.
