Strootman apologizes for Cataldi episode

Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman was interviewed in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, here are his words:

With the cancellation of your ban has justice been served?
Yes. When I received the news I was surprised. I think that I was sleeping, and at one point a bunch of messages came through on our group team chat and everyone said how surprised they were. That said, I shouldn’t have thrown the water at Cataldi as it wasn’t sporting. Of course, he did things too, but it’s still my fault. But it wouldn’t have been right to ban me for simulation.

The renewal?
We are working on it: I am optimistic.
