Il Tempo (Austini): Roma sporting director Monchi played the role of “speaker” at the Transfer Room convention at the Emirates Stadium in London this week. During this time in England, though, Monchi also used it to meet with Franco Baldini. The Tuscan, who quit Roma’s executive committee following the statements hurled at him by Totti, hasn’t abandoned his role that he’s maintained for several years with the Giallorossi: as Pallotta’s consultant. Baldini helps influence the club’s choices on the transfer market as Monchi was also joined by Balzaretti and Massara, the two other key men who head up Roma’s sporting department. There is still time but the group have already started to focus on the January transfer market.
