Diego Llorente is expected to remain at the capital club beyond this season.

The Spanish defender returned to Roma earlier in the summer following his six-month loan from Leeds United.

Llorente made his return once again on a dry loan from Leeds until the end of the season.

However, according to The Athletic it is very likely that Llorente will sign a permanent deal with the Giallorossi next year as the player is out of Leeds’ plans and enjoys a good relationship with Mourinho and the club.

The initial loan formula enabled Roma to sign him this summer under strict Financial Fair Play constraints.
