Italian agent Lodovico Spinosi and intermediary to Roger Ibanez spoke about the defender’s departure from Roma in the summer.
In an interview with CalcioNapoliLive24, Spinosi touched upon Napoli’s interest in Ibanez and Roma’s determination to find him a suitor abroad which ultimately led to the centreback’s decision to join Al-Ahli.
“Never never took into consideration the option of selling him in Italy,” said Spinosi. “They refused to sell him to any other Italian club.”
“Napoli were interested, yes, there was appreciation on a technical level but nothing came of it,” he added.
