Renato Sanches is probable to miss the next few weeks after suffering a strained muscle on Thursday night.

The Portuguese midfielder was forced to exit the pitch against Sheriff Tiraspol after experiencing discomfort in his right thigh.

Tests revealed a strained calf muscle which will likely force to remain out for at least two weeks.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sanches will in all likelihood return after the international break.

However, the newspaper adds that Sanches will undergo further tests in one week to determine whether he could recover in time for Cagliari-Roma on 8 October.
