Ex-Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco and current Frosinone boss Eusebio Di Francesco looked back on his appointment with the Giallorossi.

During today’s pre-match press conference, Di Francesco was specifically asked about the rumors that he had been close to becoming Fiorentina’s head coach in 2017 before deciding to join Roma instead, replacing Luciano Spalletti.

“Yes, I was very close to Fiorentina in 2017,” admitted the Italian technician.

“I met with their sporting director at the time and was caught by some journalists, but in the end I joined Roma because my heart told me to,” he added.
