Leandro Paredes’ return to Roma proved to be more eventful than what the midfielder probably expected.

After not training with PSG in pre-season, Paredes was immediately called upon by Jose Mourinho to start for Roma in what turned out to be a complicated season opening.

Pardes’ performances have been subject to criticism from the media with many ups and downs.

However, Corriere dello Sport claims that Jose Mourinho is intent on continuing to give Paredes a chance to start for the Giallorossi in order to further improve his form.

The Portuguese technician is said to be confident in the midfielder’s abilities – Paredes has featured in all games so far this season and is expected to continue playing a pivotal role in Mourinho’s squad akin to Bryan Cristante and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
