Roma’s poor start to the season has been marked with a few positives elements.

As highlighted by Il Messaggero, while Roma’s defense has struggled to maintain the same defensive solidity as last season, the capital club have found a way to become significantly more efficient in attack.

According to the Italian newspaper, after 9 games played last year, Roma had only found the back of the net 12 times. This season, however, the Giallorossi have already scored 21 goals.

The addition of Romelu Lukaku has played a key role in these statistics: the Belgian striker has been able to score 5 goals in 7 appearances across all competitions.

His latest goal against Servette was the 13th consecutive Europa League match which saw Lukaku score.
