Roma defender Gianluca Mancini is looking to start for Italy in tonight’s match with Malta.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mancini will feature in Luciano Spalletti’s line-up alongside Alessandro Bastoni.
On the other hand, Bryan Cristante and Stephan El Shaarawy – who joined Italy’s training on Friday morning after Nicolo Zaniolo’s last minute departure – are both set to start from the bench.
Spalletti is reportedly favoring Juve’s Locatelli ahead of Cristante in Italy’s midfield at the moment.
