Roma are reportedly interested in out-of-favor Spurs defender Eric Dier.

The English centreback has failed to make a single appearance for Tottenham this season and – seeing as his contract is set to expire next year – continues being linked with a January exit from the Premier League side.

According to Tuttosport, Dier could in fact reunite with his former coach, Jose Mourinho, in the Italian capital as Roma continue to search for an additional defender ahead of January.

The Giallorossi will need to find a back-up to Evan Ndicka who is going to take part in AFCON in January and February.

For the moment, Dier seems to be a feasible objective for Roma: Spurs are likely to ask for a small fee or percentage on sell-on clause to let Dier go before the official expiry of his contract.
