Roma are reportedly already considering replacements for Renato Sanches.

The Portuguese midfielder – who joined the capital club in the summer on loan from PSG – has been a disappointment so far in the Giallorossi’s eyes due to his poor fitness levels.

Since arriving in the Italian capital, Sanches has collected only 98 minutes of playing time, suffering two separate injuries in the span of three weeks.

The chances of Sanches fulfilling the necessary criteria to trigger the obligation in his current contract are extremely low at this point seeing as he would need to complete at least 55% of all appearances for Roma.

Thus, the capital club are said to be on the look-out for a suitable replacement.

According to calciomercato.com, Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana is among the candidates for the job.

The 24-year-old French midfielder will become a free agent in June 2024.
