The Roma midfielder responded to Italy’s call-up despite experiencing fatigue after a grueling start to the season with Jose Mourinho’s team.
Having featured in every single game for the Giallorossi thus far, Cristante is said to be far from 100% match fit at this moment.
According to VoceGiallorossa, the Roma vice-captain is suffering from lower back pain which could potentially rule him out from Italy’s upcoming fixtures with North Macedonia and Ukraine.
His conditions, however, are not too concerning for the capital club.
