Roma are being linked with ex-Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.

The Italian centreback is supposedly among the potential low-cost names Roma could add to their roster in January as the capital club desperately seek defensive reinforcements for the remainder of the season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Bonucci is open to the idea of returning to Serie A after an unsuccessful spell at Union Berlin has seen his minutes be limited and the German side plummet in the Bundesliga rankings.

For now, Roma have not shown any concrete interest in the veteran defender, but he could represent a cheaper alternative to a lot of other names that have been linked with the Giallorossi over recent weeks such as Solet and Theate.
