Napoli Announce Osimhen Contract renewal, Elmas Exit Ahead of Roma Showdown

RomaPress Staff

Just hours before their showdown against Roma, Napoli announced that star striker Victor Osimhen has signed a new deal with the club.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis unveiled the news on social media with a photo of himself and the striker with a one-word caption: “Done!” The new contract will keep Osimhen with the Partenopei until June 2026 and, according to Sky Sport, makes him the highest paid player in Serie A at €10 million (net) per season.

The deal also reportedly includes a release clause valid for non-Italian clubs worth around €120 million.

Meanwhile, De Laurentiis also confirmed that midfielder Eljif Elmas is joining RB Leipzig after images of the North Macedonian signing a contract with the German side were leaked on social media.

“Elmas? He’s already been sold,” he told Corriere dello Sport.

“He’s someone who wants to play the entirety of the game, he hasn’t been able to understand that you’re still a starter even if you don’t play all ninety minutes.”
