Roma are steps away from signing Leonardo Bonucci on a short-term deal from Union Berlin.

As reported by Il Messaggero, discussions between Roma and Bonucci’s entourage are down to the last details pertaining to the player’s contract.

The ex-Juve defender would join the Giallorossi on a six-month contract worth around €1.5 million; a relatively low-cost deal that would enable Roma to resolve some of the issues that are plaguing their defensive department.

Bonucci’s arrival has already been approved by Jose Mourinho who is eagerly awaiting to greet the veteran centreback for the remainder of the season.
