Lecce shot-stopper Wladimiro Falcone continues being linked as the favored candidate to replace Rui Patricio at Roma.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, in a two-man race involving Monza’s Di Gregorio, Falcone seems to be in a leading position to become Roma’s next goal-keeper.

The Italian newspaper claims that the terms to sign Falcone from Lecce are more favorable given the reduced costs: Lecce are in fact asking for €8-9 million as opposed to Di Gregorio’s whopping €25 million price-tag.

28-year-old Falcone is also a die-hard Romanista and intends to push for an exit from Lecce this coming summer in favor a switch to the Italian capital.
