Roma are reportedly eyeing Atletico Madrid defender Caglar Soyuncu as their priority January reinforcement.

Following their recent withdrawal from talks for Leonardo Bonucci, Roma are said to have shifted their attention to other profiles.

According to Il Tempo, Roma are evaluating several different defenders all over Europe.

However, Roma GM Tiago Pinto’s preferred option remains Caglar Soyuncu of Atletico Madrid who has struggled for playing time under coach Diego Simeone.

The ex-Leicester City centreback is reportedly keen on a move away from the Spanish capital but Atletico are yet to open to the idea of letting him leave on loan until the end of the season.
