German defender Tilo Kehrer is nearing a move to AS Monaco after being linked with Roma over the past few weeks.
The West Ham centreback was said to have been in talks to join Roma as a January reinforcement.
However, AS Monaco seem to have won the race as Fabrizio Romano reports that the French side are closing in on a loan deal involving Kehrer until the end of the season.
The deal between Monaco and West Ham is at final stages. Thus, Roma are expected to focus on other targets.
