Roma manager Jose Mourinho paid special tribute to Roma fans and their overwhelming support in a night that saw Roma complete a comeback win over Cremonese.
In his post-match press conference, Mourinho reflected on how unique the Roma fans attending the games at the Olimpico are: “If you’re losing at home against a team against which you theoretically have to win, in theory people boo and make you feel insecure.”
“Instead, you’re losing 0-1 at home against Cremonese and the people are still fully behind you, still cheering you on – even with the people outside the stadium I get emotional.”
“I have won a lot in many different clubs throughout my career, but none of these clubs have this level of respect and tenderness from their fanbase, obviously I get emotional when I see this home crowd.”
