Roma are in talks to sign young Juventus defender Dean Huijsen.

The Dutch centreback has been linked with a move to Frosinone, with Juventus pushing for this transfer to go through in order to honor the close collaboration between the two clubs and give the player the best chance to develop in a team where he could get most minutes.

Roma, however, reached out to Huijsen’s agent and proposed an equally interesting offer to the 18-year-old.

As a result of this, Il Tempo reports that Huijsen and his agent are now pushing to move to Roma instead.

In the meantime, Juventus are reluctant to accept these conditions – the Bianconeri do not want to send the youngster to a direct rival and have already held a meeting with Huijsen’s agent to clarify the situation.

Thus, Roma await Juve’s decision, hoping that Huijsen’s willingness to move to the Italian capital may make the difference in the end.
