Former Roma defender Toni Rudiger – one of Real Madrid’s current stars – addressed the Giallorossi’s decision to appoint Daniele De Rossi as their new head coach.

Following the announcement of Mourinho’s immediate departure, Roma were quick to appoint De Rossi.

Rudiger – who played with De Rossi for over two years during his time in the Italian capital between 2015 and 2017 – wished De Rossi good luck on his Instagram story.

“Best of luck, legend,” Rudiger wrote on Instagram, displaying a photo the pair took during a recent match between Germany and Italy (seeing as De Rossi was part of Italy’s staff).
