Former Empoli manager Paolo Zanetti was recently asked about Tommaso Baldanzi’s fit at Roma following his recent move to the Italian capital.

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Zanetti commented on his former player, “It is fast and technical in tight corners with the ball at his feet. Plus he has a nice shot.”

“But the most striking aspect is his personality: he is as shy and reserved in life as he is cheeky and self-confident on the pitch. For him, playing in training or in a full stadium makes no difference,” added Zanetti.

“For me he can also integrate with Dybala, not just be his alternative. He certainly has a lot of room for improvement and with a coach like De Rossi he will also grow in a new position.”

“His limits? He must strengthen himself physically, put some power in his legs: this way he will also become strong in progression, in the open field, not only in dribbling.”
