Former Roma defender Kostas Manolas is rumored to be eyeing a return to Serie A after concluding his recent spell in Greece.

Manolas – now a free agent – has been reportedly pushing to return to Italy where he last played for Napoli in 2022 after spending six seasons at Roma between 2014 and 2019.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Manolas’ entourage have offered his services to various clubs in the league and are now in talks with two teams fighting to avoid relegation; Hellas Verona and Salernitana are pursuing the veteran centreback.

In Salerno, Manolas could reunite with the executive who brought him to Italy in the first place, namely Walter Sabatini who is reportedly offering him a short-term contract until the end of the season with a hefty bonus in case Salernitana were able to stay in Serie A.
