Daniele De Rossi could lose two key players ahead of the upcoming first leg of the Europa League playoffs with Feyenoord.
With only two days left until the highly anticipated rematch at the De Kuip in Rotterdam, De Rossi is at risk of losing Bryan Cristante and Chris Smalling.
The former suffered back issues in Roma’s most recent outing with Inter Milan. Cristante was unable to continue due to the pain and Roma’s medical staff may advise to rest him at least a few days.
Similarly, Il Messaggero reports that Roma remain cautious with Chris Smalling’s situation: the defender was forced to halt his involvement in group training after experiencing muscle soreness.
Both players could end up staying at Trigoria as Roma prepare to travel to Holland on Wednesday afternoon.
