Roma are said to be willing to extend Primavera captain Luigi Cherubini’s stay.
The youngster had been the subject of negotiations between Roma and Juventus in January – with the Bianconeri interested in signing him on loan.
However, the deal collapsed once it was revealed that Cherubini had to undergo surgery to remove a cyst on his knee.
As a result, Il Romanista reports that Roma have now changed their plans and are ready to submit a proposal for a new contract for Cherubini.
The 20-year-old from Tivoli is expected to be shortly back on the pitch as his recovery begins to enter its final stages.
