Roma attacker Romelu Lukaku stressed the importance of the upcoming return leg with Feyenoord following last night’s 1-1 draw in Rotterdam.

In his post-match interview with UEFA, Lukaku – author of Roma’s equalizer in the second half – remarked, “We can’t be happy wit ha draw, we always want to win.”

“We had enough chances to win the game, but they could have done it too. So 1-1 is a good result. From a performance point of view, we played an excellent first half.”

“Both goals came from counter-attacks? This is football. This is why you have to remain focused 100% of the time. When there is an opportunity, you have to score, and that’s what we did. Then we had maybe ten minutes where we could have scored again.”

“My goal? I knew I was stronger than the defender and that I would get to the ball first.”
