The manager of the Belgian national team, Domenico Tedesco, addressed the matter of Mile Svilar’s eligibility for international duty with the Red Devils.

In today’s press conference, Tedesco was specifically asked about the latest rumors regarding Mile Svilar’s intentions to play for Belgium rather than Serbia thanks to his dual citizenship.

Tedesco admitted that Svilar is a player of great interest to Belgium, but the legal side of things prevents him from playing for their national team.

“He’s a player we’ve been following for many months, but it’s clear he can’t play for us,” Tedesco told reporters earlier today.

“It is clear because we are always in contact with our legal department and they have confirmed to us that it is not possible for him to change the Federation again, so the situation is clear.”
