Roma Primavera player Joao Costa will be once again called up with the senior team for this evening’s clash with Sassuolo.

Costa – a former youth product of Corinthians who joined Roma’s ranks in 2021 and with 5 goals to his name in 21 appearances for the Primavera this season – is reportedly seeking his first opportunity to feature in a Serie A match this weekend.

On Thursday night, De Rossi gave the kid a chance to make a late appearance in the match against Brighton in the return leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

With Dybala out injured and Romelu Lukaku not 100% fit yet, Corriere dello Sport suggests De Rossi plans to involve Costa more this evening, potentially making him the necessary spark in the second half of the game with the Neroverdi.
