Leonardo Spinazzola has not completely ruled out the idea of extending his stay at Roma.
The Italian fullback is famously closing in on the expiry date of his current deal with the Giallorossi.
In June the player will become a free agent.
However, Corriere della Sera reports that with Daniele De Rossi on Roma’s bench, Spinazzola’s future may not be so clearcut after all.
De Rossi is a big fan of Spinazzola and appreciates his qualities to the point that he may even ask the player to accept a contract extension in the summer.
Nevertheless, the newspaper claims that Spinazzola’s future – much like Chris Smalling’s – will largely depend on his match fitness and physical condition.
