After facing Lecce in last night’s 0-0 draw, Roma are reportedly interested in one of their key players ahead of the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi are keen on Lecce leftback Antonino Gallo.

The Italian defender was particularly active in last night’s match, excelling as one of his team’s better performers of the evening.

The newspaper suggests that Gallo may be looking to part ways with Lecce at the end of the season, with sources in Puglia claiming Gallo is supposedly intent on choosing Roma as his next destination.

An element that could be decisive in this equation and that could favor a deal for Roma, or at least play a role in Gallo’s decision is the relationship with De Rossi’s assistant, Guillermo Giacomazzi.

This relationship is not only of friendship, but also centered around family given that Gallo is married to the daughter of the Uruguayan coach, who is therefore his father-in-law.

Negotiations between all parties are yet to take off but there are the conditions for a successful outcome, reports Gazzetta.
