Francois Modesto of Monza is in talks to become Roma’s new sporting director.
The French executive is in fact the leading candidate to take over the vacancy left by former Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto.
According to the latest report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Modesto has held several meetings with Roma and gave his availability to them ahead of the summer.
However, the newspaper claims that the technical director is yet to receive the green light from Monza CEO Adriano Galliani.
Without Galliani’s approval Modesto will not be allowed to join Roma as he still has one more year left on his contract with the Biancorossi.
