Newly appointed Udinese manager Fabio Cannavaro was asked about the unusual match his side will play against Roma in the next few days.

The two clubs will meet on Thursday evening to resume the remaining 20 minutes of their previous encounter which had been suspended due to Evan Ndicka’s collapse.

During his introductory press conference today, Cannavaro said, “It has never happened to me. We’ll have to play it with great passion, usually in the last twenty minutes you’re tired, now you’re fresh, Roma won’t hold back, they won’t spare themselves.”

“They know that in twenty minutes you can win. I expect there will be a real match, a real sense of competitiveness.”

“De Rossi? He’s an old friend and meeting him like this is something that only football can make happen.”
